Back off, Sailor! My wet Gulf is not your "Opportunity Zone"

So the President owned his shame and vows to make amends.  No, it isn't that simple.

Why does all this talk of opportunity zones just sound like another scam to enrich Republican cronies?  Patterns, baby.  Patterns.

Face it, Bush isn't exactly Huey Long.  All he can offer are Republican retreads, failed retreads.  The Republican solution to poverty sounds incredibly similar to their solution for everything: cut taxes, torch regulation, annihilate wages, eliminate competition, and create top-heavy bureaucracies.

The evidence of how beautifully this works out for the poor is drowning in New Orleans.
